The flowering brush cherry from Australia (Syzygium Paniculatum) has small evergreen leaves, making it ideal for bonsai.
It has pink and white puffy flowers during the spring and summer.
The new leaves are reddish, and will turn green when they mature.
A great tree to keep indoors. Ideal houseplant!
