A perfectly shaped iris incorporating shades of red, red bronze and deeper brick red all on large ruffled bloom. Proud bronze red standards are outwardly ruffled atop falls with brick red centers and bronze red edging. Just stunning with bright gold beards. As if the coloration was not enough, Valentino is wonderfully fragrant with a unique, pleasing aroma. Early mid-season bloomer. Grows to 36" tall in height and is hardy for zones 3-10. A vigorous perennial plant it will return each spring, and multiply each year, providing you with a reliable abundance of blooms. Strong stems make this a great cut flower!

There are several I want. While a bit more expensive than some shops it is beyond worth every penny. I was thrilled with the entire Process. I am going back for more . I got the Valentino Iris. Ordered two of these, the plants look great. Read the description and I liked that they are shipped in dirt, with the leaves coming up and whatnot (as opposed to just a rhizome (that was a selling point for me, for which I'd pay more for) and they look exactly how I'd expect! The care instructions are great as well, and I can't wait to plant these! Thanks!

My review is confusing because I did not take an initial photo.
It presented as a nicely potted Iris Rhizome ( they are rarely potted!) and looked healthy!
Well, fast forward @ a month and there are two new leaves and one is @5” tall!
I fully expect this specimen to be a favorite in our garden.
Background, my husband is well versed in Iris and was a judge for our regional Iris society and at one time we had over 800 varieties all neatly labeled with details ( tall bearded, etc and registered name . lol! Lots of work! But w/ some annoying illnesses, (us not Iris) we lost things. Now focusing on Iris that are sure to be favored, we are adding VALENTINO, in a place of honor.
If you look at the offerings from this vendor and you think, hmm, not sure I want to spend that? All I can say is you will get your money’s worth!
