Emerald Blueberry is a low-chill southern highbush cultivar with a vigorous, upright-spreading habit and large to very large, medium- to dark-blue berries. Its harvest can extend over a longer period because berries in a cluster may not ripen all at once.

- Fruit: Large to very large berries with moderate firmness and mild, balanced flavor
- Pollination: Plant with another compatible southern highbush cultivar with a similar bloom period for good fruit set
- Shipment: Ships as a dormant bare-root plant when seasonally available
Growing Emerald Blueberry
Choose a full-sun site with acidic, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Keep the shallow root zone evenly moist but not waterlogged, and mulch to moderate soil moisture and temperature. Low-chill blueberries may bloom early, so protect flowers from late freezes where that is a local risk.
For planting and care details, see our blueberry growing guide. Compare cultivars in our Berry, Vine & Crowns Characteristics Chart.
